Located in Winthrop, Maine, Central Maine Taxi offers service to both the Portland Jetport and the Bangor Int'l Airport as well as all the way to the coast! Our base in-town Winthrop & fare is $4.50 for the first mile, outside of Winthrop the base fare is $5.50 with each additional mile for all areas $1.25 for up to two people (with a minimum $20 fare). WE ARE FULLY LICENSED TO PICK UP IN AUGUSTA! (license #41) An average fare from Augusta to Portland International Jetport would be $99 for two people and 2 large rolling bags. All rates quoted are for the purpose of giving estimates and are not actual until the fare transpires.
A gas surcharge may apply (20%) if there is a substantial distance for drop off or pick up (or a $45/hour fee based upon return trip with empty cab) and a per person surcharge of $2.50/adult or child over 12, may be added as well if more than 2 passengers are in the cab. If you are shopping for less than 10 minutes for one stop only, we will wait at no extra charge if no other fares call in. Otherwise wait time is billed at a rate of $45/hr or $.75/minute. We can help carry grocery bags in to your home if you need assistance. We're sorry but due to liability and bad backs we do NOT do physical transfers into or out of the cab. We will also pick up and deliver prescriptions or Hannaford or Walmart "togo" orders (prepaid online). We do not purchase alcohol, tobacco, or cannabis products for anyone, nor do we deliver them without a fare paying passenger having ownership of them in the vehicle.
